Working remotely during Covid-19.. yes, it’s a privilege, and for the most part, those of us who are able to are grateful to have continued employment or keep their businesses running.
But living with others and being with them 24/7, sharing space for work and life, are different things. Add children to the mix – who may now be distance learning – and more often than not, chaos ensues.
Sharing the space you have available and prioritising time / space / quiet for concentration or peace for conference calls, meeting demands from the kids, or the myriad of other pressures that come with sharing your domestic space for work, can be beyond trying, even on a good day.
As time passes during this crisis – and let’s be real, it’s going to be months – you might find that your tolerance is tested to breaking point. If this happens, we can help you work out a plan to ensure that everyone’s needs are met. The goal is for you all to be able to get on with what you need to be doing, peacefully. We can give you the tools to communicate those needs without ongoing tension.
Obviously we hope this isn’t needed, but we all have limits. We are in this together and completely understand because we’re doing it too! So don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help.
